CollectA Hatzegopteryx Dinosaur Toy Model
The Hatzegopteryx was a carnivore discovered on Hatzeg Island in what is now Europe. TheHatzegopteryx lived during the Late Cretaceous Period. Its name means “Hatzeg Wing”. Islands were typically home to dwarf dinosaurs. This was an evolutionary trait to prevent them from using all of the resources on the island. Why such a large dinosaur was on this island is still at question.
The Hatzegopteryx was approximately 18 ft. tall, weighed about 250 pounds, and had around a 40 ft. wingspan! It was better adapted to walking on land than most ptserosaurs.
